Badri AI Advisory
I built the AI organization at Resmed and led six AI products to market, projected at $200M+. I do that work now for private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and large enterprises.
Twenty-five years building and shipping AI where mistakes are costly: FDA-cleared medical devices, bank fraud and credit decisioning, energy analytics for Fortune 500 utilities, real-time marketplace pricing across a hundred cities. At Resmed, a $5.7B S&P 500 medical device company operating in 140+ countries, I built the AI organization from scratch to roughly 60 people across four geographies and led six AI products from design through release.
Two AI products came out of one organization at Resmed. Smart Comfort cleared the FDA as the first deep-learning personalization technology for adaptive respiratory therapy. Dawn, a consumer GenAI health assistant, went live to the public under a governance framework rather than a clearance path. Two different regulatory paths, one team, one data foundation, one governance model underneath. That is the capability I build: the strategy a board will fund, the governed data foundation every model runs on, the regulated deployment, and the organization that keeps it running after launch. Getting the model right is hard. So is everything that gets it shipped and keeps it trustworthy. I have owned both.
I work in two phases.
A short, contained engagement that maps where AI moves your P&L, sizes each opportunity in dollars, and sequences it Now, Next, Later. You end with a ranked value thesis and a build plan attached to it, not a deck of possibilities.
I stand up the prioritized work inside your business, with an engineering team building under my direction, and leave a capability your people can run.
The diagnosis stands on its own. Most engagements start there and expand into the build once you can see where the value sits.
Every engagement is held against five pillars. Each one is a decision I owned at Resmed, at scale, in a regulated business.
Six AI products from design through release, projected at $200M+. Smart Comfort, the first FDA-cleared deep-learning personalization for adaptive respiratory therapy, projected at $100M+. ComplianceCoach, a provider outreach system that cut early therapy discontinuation 2.4%, worth $57M+ in incremental annual recurring revenue.
Air and sea freight optimization across a supply chain spending north of $150M a year, an estimated $10M a year saved and still in production.
One governed architecture serving both regulated and consumer AI, and a patented AIOps platform that cut prototype-to-production time by 6 to 24 months.
FDA, HIPAA, and GDPR in production at patient scale, and a medical device quality system redesigned for AI.
An AI organization built from scratch to roughly 60 people across four geographies, and the leadership bench beneath it.
I co-authored the AI section of Resmed's 2030 corporate strategy with the Chief Strategy Officer. I briefed the Board and C-suite on AI risk, governance, and value creation, and set up the company's multi-year AI program. Through my final eighteen months I met the CEO one on one every month, and helped draft the AI sections of Resmed's quarterly investor commentary.
I co-founded and ran Prediction Machines, a machine learning venture across Bangalore and Los Alamos, and joined FirstFuel as its founding CTO, where I helped raise $46M before the company was acquired.

Our PE and hedge fund clients want to know how AI-fluent their analysts actually are. Badri architected the instrument that tells them, scoring what people have built into their daily work rather than what they say they believe, so a fund can see where it stands against its peers and specific strategies to leverage its AI spend.

I ran Engineering at FirstFuel. Badri built the Machine Learning. He was among the first to show that leading-edge models on meter data alone could tell you what was happening inside a commercial building, no site visit, no sensors. He then built the platform that ran millions of inferences daily across entire utility territories for our Fortune 500 customers.

If you're weighing where AI can move your business, or whether it can, a short diagnosis is usually the fastest way to find out.
